-Chris Conks 240-
This system incorporates 550 total gallons with 2 150 gal sump/refugiums. The 30 gal surge tank is the feature to the design, dumping 20 gallons every 25 seconds into the main 240 display tank. A 7 foot DIY 6" mazzie skimmer provides the skimming powered by 2 mag drive 9.5 pumps, along with periodic additions of carbon in the drain chamber. A 2" to 3" sand bed is used throughout the system. The upper 150 gal refugium provides the rest of filtration through macro algae's and gravity feeds nutrition to the surge device. Spectra Pure's Liter Meter takes care of the top-off with kalkwasser along with a DIY dual chamber calcium reactor. Lighting the main tank is 2 250 watt metal halides, and two 400 watt metal halides driven by PFO HQI ballasts, 8 T-5 ATI blues, and 4 VHO super actinic's driven by an Ice Cap 660 ballast. 3 moon lights also light the tank at night.
Early construction phase of the sump room and grow-out tank. All the tanks equipment is in this room.
The surge device is connected to the 150 gallon refugium up top that is right above the other 150 gallon sump. It is a Bornman surge device, that took quite a bit of tweaking to get to surge just right. Well worth it, as the whole system was designed around this, including the room.
The bottom sump tank in early construction. All the drain water enters here where carbon is ran periodically. 5 mag drive pumps also provide return to the tank, that run under the sand bed, for complete no-equipment look.

-Don & Cody Henslee's 240-
This system incorporates 440 gallons with a 240 gallon main tank and a 80 gallon sump, 60 gallon refugium, and two 30 gallon grow-out tanks. Filtration is provided by a Euro Reef 6-3 protein skimmer, a hang on the back filter, and the refugium where carbon is ran periodically. Lighting is 3 250 metal halides and 4 six foot URI super actinic's ran by ice cap ballasts.
The overhead control panel behind the tank that houses the wave maker, ballasts, and temp controls.
The 80 gallon sump, connects to the refugium here where mangroves and caulerpa grow. From here connects the two grow-out tanks.

-Josh Cooks 125-
Josh's 125 gallon reef has a 30 gallon refugium with a Euro Reef 5-3 protein skimmer. Return water is powered by two mag drive 700 pumps. Lighting is provided by three 250 radiums and two six foot URI VHO's powered by PFO HQI ballasts and ice cap ballasts.
